Bourgogne 2009
Een heel fraai jaar van hoge kwaliteit van wijnen die redelijk snel te drinken zijn.
Een grote oogst met soms zeer hoge kwaliteiten. De rode wijnen, vooral uit de Côte de Nuits zijn vol rijp fruit en aromatisch.
De witte wijnen zijn wisselend in haar kwaliteiten: de Puligny en de Chassagne-Montrachet wijnen zijn echter voortreffelijk.
Het jaar 2009 is vergelijkbaar met 2005, maar de tannines zijn rijper en zachter.
De wijnen zijn ook heerlijk in hun jeugd en hebben een mooie balans met rijk fruit.
Proefnotities van enkele topwijnen onder de Bourgognes:
Clos Vougeot: stevige structuur en superlengte.
Echezeaux: geroosterde aroma’s, heerlijke gastronomische wijn.
Volnay: superfruit, krachtig, lekker vet.
Nuits-Saint-Georges: stevige wijn. Goed bewaar potentieel.
Pommard: mooie structuur, finesse.
Vosne- Romanee: heerlijk fruit en gul.
Puligny-Montrachet: finesse, breed en verfijning.
Chassagne-Montrachet: rijk en rond met lengte.

"This is a vintage that should be in everyone's cellar!"
"A bountiful and extremely high quality vintage with early drinking potential. 2009 has delivered a very large crop and some truly exceptional wines. Following our recent buying trip, we have made our final selection, a range of outstanding wines which will offer excellent drinking over the next 1-5 years. The red wines, particularly in the Cotes de Nuits are full of ripe fruit flavours and already expressive. The white wines are slightly more variable with some outstanding wines made in certain areas, in particular Puligny, Chassagne and St Aubin. These are wines to drink and enjoy and with the recent slight recovery in the pound, offer exceptional value for money. Unlike the 2009 wines from Bordeaux, the price for this vintage remains similar to previous vintages, making the wines very accessible in comparison to Bordeaux, where release prices reached record highs. However, this may well be the last reasonably priced vintage from Burgundy if demand from the Far east continues to rise!"
