Château Musar Rosé 2004
is a blend of barrel fermented white Obaideh and
Merwah
with a small amount of red cinsault.
Moreover, production of the Chateau Musar Rosé is very limited
and not declared every vintage, the vintage prior to the 2004 have
been 2001, 1995 and 1994.
Releases in April 2007, the 2004 vintage is a beautiful salmon pink,
onion leaf colour with a creamy aromatic nose of almonds, quince,
apricots and vanilla is well balanced with good acidity with a sweet
apricot lingering finish.
This elegant dry rose should ideally be served lightly chilled, either
as an aperitif with canapés or with poached salmon. |

As with all Chateau Musar white wines, the
vintage is a blend of Obaideh approximately 2/3rd and Merwah
approximately 1/3rd - indigenous grapes of Lebanon with
thousands years of history.
A deep yellow, golden colour - vibrant and clear.
The nose is at first difficult to understand because it has so many
nuances: it is all at once, buttery, toasty, nutty, of grilled and
caramelised pineapple, of butter cream and even minerally and salty
- delicate and complex at the same time.
The Aromas follow through on to the palate with a touch of butterscotch.
It reminds us of our White 1993 vintage but this year does have its
own very specific identity. It has the pineapple fruit character with
the buttery toasty character we have come to expect from our white
wines but it also has a mineral like quality which makes this a most
intriguing vintage. |

6 and 9 months in French Nevers oak barrels. It was bottled four years
after the harvest.

blood-red colour with a smoky, leathery, tobacco nose with currants,
dates, damnsons, mulberries and Christmas spice.
