GLENMORANGIE
ARTISAN CASK
Nose: Playfull, teasing malt whisky, very distant carrot juice and evening primroses among other fruity/floral notes. "En perfum de jardinair" my former French girlfriend may have called it, and quite rightly, too (seeing as this most Scottish of malts wants to use French-derivated appendages to its brand names)
Taste: The arrival doesn't dissapoint, with the malt expectedly leading the way with aplomb; in its wake soft spices stir and also an earthy oakiness
Finish: Relatively simple oak _n' malt with a dash of liquorise.
Balance: Seriously disarming

Nose
Custard. Tropical fruits.
Palate
Fruit salad. Tangerines. Peaches. Trifle with milk chocolate chips.
Finish
Belgian wafers. The cinnamon scattered on a capuccino.
Comment
This is a substantially richer style of Glenmorangie, but not overwhelmingly sweet. The balancing spices and herbs are all present and correct.
